AX Gas Filters

AX gas filters will protect against organic compounds with a boiling point equal to or lower than 65°C.

We stock Moldex 9600 AX filters and these can be used with the 7000 series half face mask and the 9000 series full face respirator.

Examples of the hazards that AX filters will protect against include working with low-boiling vapours e.g. Acetone, Dichloromethane, Acetaldehyde, Ethyl ether, Butane and Methanol.

AX filters must only be used once as low-boiling point generally bind poorly with gas filters. This may result in shorter periods in service. Please refer to the relevant national regulations for information about the maximum permissible application concentrations and times for the
individual compounds. Only use with vapours with good warning properties.

AX filters do not offer adequate protection against various low-boiling gases. If you have any questions about how to use AX filters, please contact us.
